After water first post, here's a new update of the analysis of samples taken strictly from home alpine fountains. The analysis relates only to the contents of nitrite (NO2) and total salts (GH):
- 05/12/2010: H2O Brusson: NO2 = 0.05; GH = 2.5
- 12/19/2010: Livigno H2O: NO2 about 0, GH = 8.5
- 02/01/2011: H2O Prato NO2 = 0.05, GH = 6
- 01/09/2011: H2O Pragelato NO2 = 0.05, GH = 7
- 04/12/2010: H2O Torino (Sassi) : NO2 = 0.05 mg / l, GH = 8
- 01/09/2011: H2O bought brand COOP : NO2 little more than 0, GH = 7.5
Considerations sports clubs.
We were surprised that the nitrates are still present, albeit in low quantities, in spite of the areas are remote from the industries. The only exception is the water of Livingston, where the test (repeated 2 times) has always practically zero. L 'instead Brusson water contains very little salt, even in comparison to that bought, So over all others is slight.
I NFORMATION on Nitrite:
are part of the nitrogen cycle that sees them as an intermediate stage during the processing of the protein into nitrates, bacteria-related. I think this is the source of nitrite found in our samples.
theoretically can result from industrial pollution or direct the use of fertilizers.
At the physiological level are two factors known unpleasant:

At the physiological level are two factors known unpleasant:
- L 'NO2 tends to bind to hemoglobin in the blood, preventing oxygen transport. Just what we need for the next race!
- L 'NO2 reacts readily with ammonia, giving rise compounds in the group of nitrosamines, known carcinogens. Touching ...
